Serena Williams and Michael B. Jordan lends their prestige to The Invesco QQQ Legacy Classic, Dec 18th.
Airing on Dec.18th, The inaugural Invesco QQQ Legacy Classic will deliver to viewers a full-blown HBCU experience, that includes a Classic Sporting event and also creating opportunities for HBCU students and alumni to make a business pitch to Venture Capitalist for 1 Million in start-up funding.
The Legacy Classic HBCU Startup Pitch Competition is about finding and rewarding entrepreneurial excellence while also shedding light on the VC fundraising process. Over the coming weeks, Serena Ventures and MaC Venture Capital will work together to identify the most promising early-stage startup companies founded by current HBCU students or alumni. Ten semi-finalists will be chosen to pitch their startups to a group of top venture capitalists and receive detailed feedback from this experienced group of investors.
Participants will be able to register their business through Nov. 18 for the chance to be awarded up to $1 million in structured safe investments from both firms. During the halftime of the Invesco QQQ Legacy Classic Basketball Showcase Finals, the winning founders will be awarded by Michael B. Jordan and Serena Williams.
