Hello, everyone! I'm Jordan Jake and this is the first segment of Monday Morning Black Quarterback. What we're going to be talking about today is what each Black Quarterback and MEAC player did in the 2021 NFL Playoffs over the weekend.

It was an intriguing first weekend of the brand-new "Super Wild Card" in the NFL playoffs with a couple of teams pulling off big upsets. Lamar Jackson finally succeeded in getting that elusive first playoff victory with an impressive win in Nashville over the Tennessee Titans, 20-13. Jackson carried the heavy load as he rushed for 136 yards on 16 carries, for an 8.5 AVG per rush. The #5 seed (11-6) Baltimore Ravens travel to western New York for a showdown with the up-and-coming (14-3) #2 seed Buffalo Bills in the AFC Divisional Round on Sat, 1/16, 8:15.

Darius Leonard, Former South Carolina State standout and 2X MEAC Defensive Player of The Year, had another stellar season for the (11-6) Indianapolis Colts as he finished First-Team All-Pro for the second time of his career as a linebacker. But unfortunately, the Colts were unable to get the job done and lost a heartbreaking game in the Wild Card to the Buffalo Bills, 27-24. Although it was a excruciating loss for Colts fans, Darius Leonard had an impressive game as he finished his season with nine solo tackles, three assisted tackles. Backup defensive end Darryl Johnson (North Carolina A&T State) got on the box score with an assisted tackle for the Buffalo Bills.

Ryan Smith, CB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (12-5) (North Carolina Central) had a solo tackle and played well on Special Teams.

Russell Wilson had arguably the worst game in his illustrious career against the exceptional Los Angeles Rams (11-6) defense as the Seattle Seahawks (12-5) were embarrassed by their archrivals at home in the NFC Wild Card 30-20. He was 11 of 27 for 174 yards and threw a pick-six to make matters worst.
