Dear Curtis,

On behalf of the Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame committee we wish to confirm your induction with our 30th Anniversary Class. Created in 1991 the Hall of Fame honors those individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to our industry and we wish to add your name to that list. You will be added to an Honor Roll that ranges from John Malone and Peter Barton, to Debra Lee and Oprah Winfrey, Bob Johnson, Bill Goodwyn, Ted Turner and Herb Granath, to name but a few.

Throughout your early career, first at Continental Cablevision and subsequently ESPN, you have evidenced a strong worth ethic and sense of personal commitment. Perhaps your greatest contribution came at Black Entertainment Television (BET) where your tireless effort built a distribution network of some 65 million subscribers. In addition your contribution to our minority community as President of the T.Howard Foundation was evidence of your generosity of spirit and commitment to people of color in our industry, continued into the present day. Add the Washington Mystics of the WNBA to that resume along with Hoop Magic and your career is most worthy of recognition.
