Dear Curtis,

On behalf of the B&C Hall of Fame I wish to once again both confirm and congratulate you on your induction with the 30th Anniversary Class, a true milestone in our history. Your name will be added to an Honor Roll of some exceptional individuals who have made a significant contribution to our industry.

Throughout your career at BET you were personally responsible for the growth of the network which not only built a dedicated cable network to the African American community but enhanced the presence of the minority segment of our business providing a voice previously underserved. In addition your personal commitment to the industry minority organizations at the T.Howard Foundation, NAMIC, WICT and the Walter Kaitz Foundation paved the way for minority entry into our business, a truly great accomplishment.

"Perhaps your greatest contribution came at Black Entertainment Television (BET) where your tireless effort built a distribution network of some 65 million subscribers.“
Bill McGorry

The current coronavirus pandemic resulted in the postponement of our induction ceremony this year, and we reluctantly were required to reschedule for next year. The current plan is to conduct a black -tie dinner event on Monday evening September 20, 2021 at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in NYC, where we anticipate you will be joined by many of your industry colleagues who will look forward to celebrating your induction.

The committee will be pleased to keep you informed as we progress on the program for the evening, including a video profile created with our Event Producer, Live Star Entertainment, in addition to our PR Communications team at Sayles & Winnikoff as well as our Sales Director, Jessica Wolin.

Pleased be assured of the support of our Editorial and Sales & Marketing team at B&C and our parent organization at Future PLC, in addition to myself with any questions which might arise.

Sincerely,

Bill McGorry
