Dr. Melina Abdullah, scholar and co-founder of the Los Angeles Chapter of Black Lives Matter, has been chosen as Prairie View A&M University’s (PVAMU) inaugural Activist-In-Residence for the 2021-2022 academic year. The Activist-in-Residence will be charged with teaching students more about their power as change agents in society.
On February 22nd, Morgan State University announced it received a pledge that will change the lives of many young black students. Alumnus and donor Calvin E. Tyler Jr. and his wife, Tina, donated a large sum of $20 million!
